Community

We are proud to serve our local community, both by welcoming people into our building and by going out beyond our doors.

Disabled People’s Contact

Deptford Methodist Mission Disabled People’s Contact (known as ‘Deptford Mission’ or ‘The DPC’) is a registered charity that aims to reduce isolation in elderly disabled people.

It is based in the Deptford Methodist Mission building and includes a Day Centre for elderly disabled people, a Monday evening club for adults with learning disabilities, and a charity shop that raises funds for the work.

The object of the charity is to offer friendship, support and a sense of community to those who would otherwise be isolated by their personal circumstances.

Marathon Breakfasts

Every year the London Marathon comes right past our front doors. On this day, we come early to church and serve breakfast to spectators and runners alike as an expression of our love and support for all those running and raising money for good causes.
